Thursday Best Coast - Santa Monica Pier 7 -11 pm It's the final show of the summer for the annual Twilight Series, with headliners Best Coast and NO.  Spend the night at the beach, grab a cocktail at Sonoma On the Deck and catch this FREE show on the Santa Monica Pier. Friday Dim Sum for Dinner - Empress Pavilion, Downtown Who doesn't enjoy breakfast for dinner?  Now you can grab dim sum at Empress Pavilion on Fridays until 9 pm.  When you have a craving for chicken feet, you know where to go. Saturday Good Food Pie Contest -  LACMA, Los Angeles 2-4 pm KCRW's is hosting their 4th Annual Good Food Pie Contest.  The tasting is FREE but you will have to find the KCRW Welcome Table in Hancock Park just north of the Ahmanson Building for a ticket.  Stop by LACMA afterwards since they are letting apron wearers in for FREE. Sunday Sand Mandala - Pacific Asia Museum, Pasadena The Buddhist Monks started working on the Sand Mandala on Wednesday and will finish their creation on Sunday.  Admission to the museum is FREE on Sunday and the Dissolution Ceremony (YES, they sweep away all the sand when it's complete and disperse the grains into flowing water) will take place at 4:30 pm.
