Friday

First Fridays - Natural History Museum, 900 Exposition Blvd, Los Angeles5 - 10 pm

For this month's installation of First Fridays, KCRW has selected the Allah-Lahs and The Babies to perform along with DJ sets from resident DJ Anthony Valdez.  If you've never been to the museum after dark, if definitely worth checking out.  Who knows, maybe the exhibits will come to life and you'll be able to spot Ben Stiller walking around.

Saturday

2013 Lantern Festival - Chinese American Musuem, 425 N. Los Angeles Street, Los AngelesNoon - 7 pm

To mark the closing of the Chinese New Year festivities, the annual Lantern Festival occurs on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month.  CAM's festival is a recreation of a traditional Chinese street fair featuring brilliant lantern displays, acrobatics, Chinese calligraphy and folk dances.  There will be the obligatory food trucks and the best part is that the event is FREE to all.

Sunday

Vermeer's Woman in Blue Reading a Letter - Getty Center, 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles 10 am - 5:30pm

We recently saw Girl With the Pearl Earring and can just imagine Vermeer in his studio painting this portrait.  The painting, Woman in Blue Reading a Letter is going home to Amsterdam at the end of March, so get your butt to the Getty to see it before it's gone.
