It's National BBQ month (yes, it's true) and the Queen Mary is hosting a BBQ classic to crown the 2013 West Coast barbecue champion.  The BBQ Classic brings pitmasters from across SoCal who will be grilling and smoking Texas, Memphis, Kansas City and Carolina-style barbecue.  Tastings are $2 and there is a $15 admission fee but if you purchase online now you save $5.

Echo Park Craft Fair - 821 E. 3rd St, Los Angeles 12 - 7pm on Sat, 12 - 6pm on Sun If the Unique LA Show seems too daunting for you, there is the smaller, more intimate and FREE Echo Park Craft Fair.  The Echo Park Craft Fair, which has now moved downtown, features 50 local artisans hawking their crafty wares.  Get your shop on, people!
