This Weekend In LA: Haunted Hayride, Way Over Yonder & CicLaVia

Haunted Hayride - Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Ave, Los Angeles7pm - Midnight 

The Halloween Haunts are just beginning.  Based on "actual events" that occurred within Griffith Park, the Haunted Hayride brings them all back to life.  The twenty-five minute Hayride has access again to the extended trail by the Old Zoo and promises new terror for all who dare to ride.  General admission is $30 and they have a limited supply for $25 tickets if you want to go on a Wednesday or Thursday.

Way Over Yonder - Santa Monica Pier, Santa MonicaDoors open at 1pm, show starts at 2pm

The Newport Folk Festival picked up their Rhode Island festival and brought it all the way West.  The line-up features Conor Oberst, Neko Case, The Felice Brothers and a slew of other artists.  There are still 2-day passes available for $80 or you can get single-day tickets for $45. Sunday CicLaVia - Downtown Los Angeles 8am - 4pm The 8th CicLaVia is letting Angelenos ride, walk, stroll, skate through the Heart of LA.  The 4 hubs to ride to are Chinataown, MacArthur Park, African American Fire Fighter Hub and the Mariachi Plaza Hub.  The best way to get there is to take the Metro Rail and don't worry, each hub will have plenty of entertainment and food trucks.
