It may not seem like winter, but the ice rinks around LA are starting to open.  Irvine Spectrum's Holiday on Ice will be open from now until Feb, so you'll have plenty of chances to strap on the blades.  Admission is $14 for both adults and children and skate rentals are only $4.  

Saturday

is a turbo-charged wine tasting event.  There will be over 250 wines from all around the world available for tasting during the 4-hour event.  If you can't remember what you've tasted and what you've like, don't worry, they've made an app for you to keep track.  There are two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening, both for $60 a person.

Sunday

Huntington Library Main Exhibition Hall Reopening - Huntington Library, 1151 Oxford Rd, San Marino 10:30 - 4:30 pm After seventeen months of renovation, the Main Exhibition Hall of the Huntington Library is ready for guests.  They have restored the Hall back to the way it was in the 192o's, including the marble and cork floor that had been under carpeting for the last forty years.  The new Hall's first show is the permanent exhibition titled “Remarkable Works, Remarkable Times: Highlights from the Huntington Library.”  Admission is $23 on the weekend, but if you become a member than you admission is FREE.
